Business Development/Technical Sales Lead
Reports to: VP of Business Operations
Region Responsibility: Northern California
Responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Driving sales and new business growth for the organization
• Driving RFQ, RFP and Interviews for opportunities
• Meeting Sales targets and objectives
• Maintian required pipeline to meet YOY sales and Revenue goals
• Attending and participating in market networking, events and conferences
• Developing and maintaining relationships with Architects, Owners, Consultants and
Program/Construction Managers
• Meeting in-person with Owners/Architects/CMs presenting power point or other
presentation collateral
• Connect TQ leaders with strategic contacts
• Maintain a log of all current and future specific project opportunities
• Sales pipeline management through CRM software
• Working collaboratively with business and plant operations leaders on forecasting
revenue and plant production schedules
• Learn and apply XL Industries’ Business Acquisition Process to increase relationships and
wins
• Able to understand the details and technical aspects of the TQ building solutions, ie.
sustainability, prefabrication, timber, product limitations, price and schedule
parameters, etc
• TQ brand ambassador participating in industry events, podcasts, etc.
Requirements for this position include the following:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a business development professional in design or
construction.
• Public education and civic industry experience including knowledge of procurement and
project delivery methods
• Knowledge of mass timber construction and/or prefabrication is desirable
• History of bringing in closable opportunities
• Comfortable presenting to an audience and managing business development events
• BA/BS degree desirable
