Essential Functions
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative and not comprehensive:
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales (DOS), Revenue Manager, and Timbers Resorts Director of Leisure Sales to establish revenue goals for topline leisure sales.
- Analyze and report on weekly GDS and Wholesale sales production, monitoring monthly performance, consumption, and opportunities within these channels using tools such as Agency360, Travel Agent Targeting Report, and more.
- Conduct analytical studies to inform decision-making and provide recommendations.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that maximize hotel revenue across various market segments.
- Manage account management activities and ensure the effectiveness and productivity of external booking engines and CRS systems.
- Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies targeted at the leisure market, including monthly updates and promotional materials to key accounts.
- Foster relationships with top producers through alternative communication applications like WhatsApp and conduct webinars with travel agents and wholesalers.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the resort, maintaining detailed files on accounts via Salesforce/Amadeus Advanced.
- Plan and execute trade show and sales mission participation, ensuring follow-up strategies are in place.
- Prospect and solicit new business through effective monthly strategies, managing travel schedules for office visits and trade shows efficiently.
- Conduct site tours and familiarization trips for travel agents and wholesale markets.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with wholesalers, consortia, and agencies, coordinating efforts across multiple properties and departments.
- Assist in launching new products and services, creating targeted sales and marketing strategies to drive success in leisure sales.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with in-market hotel partners and consortia account managers, leveraging partnerships to increase incremental revenue.
- Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate their impact on resort operations, and recommend program improvements.
- Contribute to long-range planning and program development as a strategic partner, and actively participate in team-oriented approaches to enhance service effectiveness.
- Demonstrate courteous behavior and foster a harmonious workplace environment while interacting with the public and staff.
- Develop the yearly budget for the Leisure Sales department, forecasting travel expenses and marketing spending.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in leisure sales management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Amadeus Advanced, SynXis GDS, and other relevant software.
