We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by performing various tasks related to financial management and reporting. Duties
- Perform daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and reports.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Identify and research account discrepancies. Investigate, resolve, and report to the accounting supervisor/manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
- Utilize Excel and QuickBooks for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various financial projects.
- Maintain accurate records of debits, credits, and other financial transactions.
- Utilize financial software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven work experience in accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and other financial software is essential.
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial auditing is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
