We are searching for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant, that is looking to make a long-term commitment to our team. What does the perfect fit look like to us?
- 2 years of previous Orthodontic Assisting experience is required
- Consistent availability
Duties:
- Assist orthodontist with patient care and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Perform dental charting and documentation using practice management software
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Assist with orthodontic appliance adjustments and repairs
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Skills:
- Knowledge of dental documentation practices and procedures
- Understanding of infection control protocols in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software for orthodontic appliances
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
