We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Greencastle Chevrolet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their vehicle service needs, providing accurate estimates, scheduling appointments, and ensuring that all service requests are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Job Summary
The Automotive Service Advisor acts as the liaison between customers and the service department. They ensure that customers' vehicles are serviced in a timely and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service throughout the process. This role involves scheduling appointments, communicating with technicians, and maintaining accurate service records.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately diagnose vehicle issues.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs to customers.
- Generate accurate service estimates and communicate pricing information to customers.
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the service department to ensure timely completion of work.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with the service provided.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive products, services, and warranties.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer software and automotive service management systems.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and terminology is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Working Conditions
Primarily works in an office setting within the service department. May be required to move between the service desk and the workshop. Occasional exposure to noise, dust, and fumes in the service area. Regular interaction with customers, service technicians, and other dealership staff.
