Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Collision Center Estimator to join our team. As an estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and providing excellent customer service through the repair process. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining our standards of quality and professionalism.
Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Greet customers and perform initial assessments of vehicle damage.
- Inspect vehicles to identify visible and hidden damage.
- Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Consult with insurance adjusters and communicate repair needs and estimates.
- Provide clear explanations of repair processes and timelines to customers.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, repair techniques, and pricing.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating repairs to meet customer needs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Estimator is preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle structure and mechanical systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Customer focused attitude with a commitment to delivering quality service.
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes and guidelines.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Audatex, Mitchell) a plus.
- I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus.
