Master Engine Builder

Job Overview
We are seeking a Master Engine Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and extensive experience and expertise with PACCAR, Caterpillar and Cummins. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar models.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of vehicles.
• Maintain air brake systems and suspension components for safety and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues before they become serious problems.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Master Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Experience with vehicle maintenance, particularly on tractor-trailers.
• Familiarity with air brake systems and suspension mechanics.
• Ability to dig into technical manuals and schematics for effective repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
