Leasing Professional
The Leasing Professional is responsible for the complete leasing and marketing cycle of multi-family residential properties, driving occupancy through effective sales techniques and outstanding customer service. This position is crucial in maintaining high occupancy rates while ensuring excellent resident satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing
- Generate and nurture leads through multiple channels including social media, networking, phone calls, and online/print advertising
- Conduct engaging property tours that showcase our communities' features and benefits
- Meet or exceed monthly leasing targets and occupancy goals
- Maintain detailed records of all prospective interactions in property management software
- Participate in outreach marketing activities, including hosting open houses and distributing promotional materials
- Make regular calls to businesses, associations, and organizations to promote vacancies
Property Knowledge and Presentation

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of:
- All property features and available units
- Local neighborhood amenities
- School districts
- Utility services
- Competitive rent information
- Current promotions
- Inspect model units and available apartments prior to showing
- Contribute to the property's curb appeal and cleanliness
- Assist with property signage and marketing displays
Leasing Process Management
- Manage the complete leasing cycle from first contact to move-in
- Screen and qualify prospects according to established criteria
- Prepare lease documentation and related paperwork with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing requirements and regulations
- Coordinate move-in preparation and new resident orientation
- Maintain detailed and timely records in Yardi
- Follow up with prospects who do not initially lease to attempt to close the sale or refer to sister properties.
Professional Development and Administration
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities
- Maintain professional networks and industry connections
- Participate in property events and community-building activities
- Identify and suggest process improvements
Management may assign additional duties
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum two years of leasing or sales experience
- Effective communication and people skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience with property management software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Initiative-taking with strong initiative
- Performs well under pressure
- Excellence in team collaboration
- Proven record of meeting/exceeding sales goals
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail

- Skilled at building resident relationships
Preferred
- Local market knowledge
- Working knowledge of HUD programs
- Experience with Yardi Property Management software
- Background in multi-family property management
- Fair Housing Certification (we will also train)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred for effective team and resident communication.
