Keep scrolling for additional information about TIME.The Role : TIME is seeking an entrepreneurial associate editor to edit, research, and report on the world's most influential people, companies, and ideas for our special projects and lists, including the TIME100, TIME100 Most Influential Companies, TIME Best Inventions, as well as TIME's data reporting lists with Statista. This dynamic role demands strong editing and reporting skills, experience curating well-balanced editorial projects, organizational skills, and a commitment to journalistic excellence.Responsibilities : Monitor news for the biggest stories both globally and locally in specific regions and sectorsCorrespond with TIME's network of writers and reportersWrite compelling, succinct copyReview raw company data in Excel and flag editorial concernsTranslate data into reported business storiesEdit and fact-check copy submitted by external writersContribute to list functions, including demographic research, sending notifications, and other administrative tasksReport at TIME events as neededPromote and abide by our commitment to Equity, Diversity, and InclusionQualifications : 3-5 years of reporting and editing experienceKnowledge of business, tech, and / or climate sectors is a plusProven track record of success in working on lists in a rapid-fire digital coverage.Demonstrated expertise in editing and writing, with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and accuracy.Strong understanding of SEO principles and the ability to optimize content for online engagement.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.Enthusiastic about innovation, positive-change and collaboration.Note : This position is represented by the NewsGuild of New York.Location : This is a hybrid role. Eligible candidates for the role must be within a commutable distance of TIME's New York City office upon hire and may be expected to be physically present as needed (typically 3 days / week).
