Position Overview:

Welcome to Time Mission – where time travel is real, and our IT systems keep the past, present, and future running smoothly! We’re seeking a talented and strategic IT Director who’s ready to lead our tech team across multiple timelines and locations.

This role requires not just a love of technology, but a passion for innovation and adventure. You’ll be overseeing our proprietary software, custom-built circuit boards, and electronics, and ensuring our portals stay in top shape for time travelers of all ages. As IT Director, you'll be working closely with the Operations Director to organize and manage our team of tech specialists while maintaining close ties with our software and electronics partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and organize the IT Technician team to ensure efficient workflow across multiple Time Mission locations. One of your first tasks will be to optimize the team structure and assign the right roles.
• Work closely with the Operations Director to align IT systems with the needs of the business, ensuring smooth operations across all portals.
• Mentor and train the IT department, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Assign projects and set clear goals for your team to ensure all timelines (pun intended!) are met.

2. Overseeing Time Machine Systems:

• Maintain and improve Time Mission's proprietary software, a bespoke system developed using JavaScript and PHP, ensuring seamless interaction between players and the portals. This includes front-of-house systems with Smartwaiver, Briq Bookings, and Stripe integrations.
• Manage IT infrastructure including custom circuit boards, NUCs, LED lights, a plethora of sensors, LiDars, and RFID systems, which power our immersive experience.
• Handle network support – we operate with TP-Link systems across all locations, ensuring a stable connection to enable smooth time travel.
• Collaborate with our electronics partners to ensure our custom circuit boards and software work in harmony, with seamless communication between all systems.

3. On-Site Travel & Tech Leadership (15-20% travel):

• Travel to our Time Mission locations to oversee on-site setup and management, ensuring all systems are operational and running smoothly.
• Handle short on-site troubleshooting visits (1-3 days) to support the IT team in resolving technical issues and maintaining equipment.
• Be the on-site leader for major system installations, managing the deployment of NUC computers, network setups, and custom-built tech to ensure everything is aligned for launch.

4. IT Support & Problem Solving:

• Oversee the 24/7 remote support system, ensuring IT Technicians respond promptly to resolve technical issues at Time Mission sites.
• Manage escalations of critical incidents and ensure that any disruptions are resolved with minimal downtime for time travelers.
• Work closely with software and hardware partners to ensure all technical aspects, from custom electronics to networking solutions, are integrated seamlessly.

5. Vendor & Technology Partnerships:

• Manage relationships with key vendors, including our electronics and software development partners. Review, negotiate, and maintain service agreements to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies that can enhance Time Mission's performance, particularly in electronics, gaming hardware, and network infrastructure.

6. Cybersecurity & Compliance:

• Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to ensure data security and privacy compliance across all Time Mission locations.
• Safeguard company data and maintain strict compliance with industry standards, ensuring all systems are secure from external threats.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT leadership, with a focus on managing technical teams and organizing workflow.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, hardware, software, and electronics – familiarity with RFID systems, NUCs, and custom circuit boards is a plus.
• Experience in gaming tech, entertainment, or immersive systems is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time for installations and troubleshooting.
• 7 years of experience in IT management roles, including leadership and project management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
