Role Summary
TIME Systems is looking for mid-level to senior NMCC ISSO (Information Security System Officer) to join our team. Your primary objective is to oversee day-to-day IT service operations, ensuring compliance, mission effectiveness, and cyber resilience, while providing support for information systems security policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day IT service operations, ensuring compliance, mission effectiveness, and cyber resilience.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various teams, including government and inter-agency partners, to support seamless IT operations.
- Identify key stakeholders in Assessment & Authorization (A&A) efforts and ensure system documentation reflects current system security configurations to include hardware and software components, data flow, interconnections, and ports, protocols, and services, etc.
- Conduct thorough reviews of all vulnerabilities, architecture, and defense in depth strategies, and report findings in
Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) documents. - Maintain cybersecurity procedures and processes as assigned.
- Analyze, interpret, and apply Federal cybersecurity guidance to customer needs.
- Communicate the security posture of systems through designated reporting mechanism.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 2 years of prior relevant experience, additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: multi-tasking, critical thinking; and the ability to work quickly,
efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment. - Must be able to work in a constantly changing regulatory environment with short, mid, and long term timelines for remediating any non-compliance.
- 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience.
- 2 years of IT experience (e.g. Networking/System Administration).
- Familiarity with classified network environments such as SIPRNET.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: multi-tasking, critical thinking; and the ability to work quickly,
efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past or current ISSM/ISSO experience.
- DoD Information Systems knowledge and experience.
- Familiarity with NIST publications, specifically Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST controls.
- Experience developing A&A documentation from scratch and performing assessments.
- Experience applying and implementing RMF.
- Any associated DoD 8140 compliant certifications.
