Role Summary
TIME Systems is looking for a Major Incident Response Specialist to join our team. Your primary objective is to assess and respond to IT incidents, then communicate quickly and properly to senior leadership as required throughout the Incident Response lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly assess IT outages, referencing internal documentation to determine incident severity and appropriate responses.
- Immediately initiate Incident Response protocols when confirmed, including Remedy ticket creation and leadership notification.
- Craft and disseminate clear, concise, and accurate communications to senior leadership throughout the lifecycle of a Major Incident.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to gather timely updates and ensure communication accuracy.
- When significant IT service disruptions occur, draft and coordinate NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) alerts for widespread dissemination.
- Diligently maintain accurate records within the Remedy ticketing system, including incident details, updates, and resolution information.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing refinement of Major Incident Response processes and documentation.
- 24/7 operations Tuesday- Saturday 0600-1430
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Currently possess a minimum DoDD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security CE).
- Accurately assess information and maintain meticulous records.
- Possess excellent written and verbal and communication skills, conveying complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A solid understanding of network equipment, their capabilities, and architecture.
- Ability to multitask and operate under pressure.
- 2 years of work experience within a DoD environment.
- Excellent briefing and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of practical incident response experience.
- Experience working with ITSM tools, such as Remedy.
- Experience working in a military command or operations center.
- Any associated DoDD 8140 compliant certifications.
