The Role:
The Sales Planner will support the sales team by creating media plans, managing client communications, and ensuring a seamless transition of advertising partnerships from pre-sale to post-sale. This role is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in sales, enjoys client interaction, and has a background in media. The Sales Planner will work closely with sellers to develop strategic plans and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create media plans to support the sales team in securing advertising partnerships.
- Assist sellers with client communications, providing timely updates, and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all pre-sale information is effectively transitioned to the post-sale leads.
- Analyze client needs and objectives to recommend appropriate media strategies.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients.
- Foster strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service.
- Promote and uphold the company’s commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a media-related role, preferably in sales support at a TV or digital company.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in sales; outgoing and client-focused personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage in client conversations.
- Familiarity with media planning concepts and terminology (e.g., CPMs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic about innovation, positive change, and collaboration.

Location: We are hiring two Sales Planners for this role:
- New York City-Based Sales Planner: This individual must be located within a commutable distance of TIME’s New York City office at the time of hire and will be expected to work onsite as needed, typically three days per week.
- West Coast-Based Sales Planner: Ideally, this individual will be based on the West Coast and will work remotely. Candidates located in the NYC area may also be considered for this role; however, they must be willing to work West Coast hours.
