Job Title: High-Performing Project Manager

Overview:

As a high-performing Project Manager on the Architecture Team, you will be responsible for the design and management of residential architectural projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to bring innovative and sustainable design solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Design Leadership:

Develop and present architectural designs that reflect the client's vision and comply with local regulations.

Lead design discussions, providing feedback and guidance to junior architects and designers.

2.Project Management:

Oversee all aspects of project development, from conceptual design through construction administration.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope. Should be able to manage 6-8 active projects at a time.

3.Client Engagement:

Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and communicating design solutions clearly.

Provide regular updates on project progress, adjusting plans based on client feedback.

4.Technical Expertise:

Ensure all architectural designs comply with local jurisdictions and California residential building codes, zoning laws, and industry standards.

Use Revit, AutoDesk Build, BuilderTrend, and Microsoft Teams for architectural design, project documentation, and coordination.

5.Team Collaboration:

Manage designers and drafters, ensuring they work efficiently toward shared project deadlines.

Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate all project components.

Collaborate with landscape architects when required to integrate exterior hardscape and softscape with overall architectural design.

Work alongside construction teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to execution.

6.Sustainability and Innovation:

Integrate sustainable design practices and innovative technologies/materials into architectural solutions.

Stay current on industry trends (Passive House, Living Building) to offer cutting-edge design strategies.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential architectural design and project management.

- Licensure: Architect license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.

- Skills:

Proficient in Revit and other design software.

Strong knowledge of building codes and construction standards.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and work under tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and navigate job sites, including climbing stairs.

Capable of distinguishing colors for design accuracy.
