Director 2, Healthcare Technology Management

Position Summary

The Director 2 of Healthcare Technology Management is pivotal in guaranteeing the seamless integration and oversight of technology within healthcare systems. This role spearheads the strategic roadmap for technology endeavors, emphasizing patient safety, high-quality care, and operational excellence. The Director's collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including clinical teams, IT specialists, and organizational leadership, is essential for crafting and implementing thorough technology management frameworks. This position entails supervision of the acquisition, deployment, upkeep, and administration of healthcare technologies, such as biomedical apparatus and information management systems. By connecting clinical requirements with technological solutions, this role guarantees that healthcare providers exploit cutting-edge technology to improve patient care results and streamline operational processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a holistic strategy for managing healthcare technology.
  • Oversee the identification, acquisition, and implementation of medical technologies and equipment.
  • Lead a team of specialists in healthcare technology, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate and monitor technology performance for better operational efficiency and patient safety.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Technology Management, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree in business administration or healthcare management is desirable.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in healthcare technology management or a closely related field.
  • Proven leadership experience within healthcare technology contexts.
  • Successful history of managing projects in technology implementation.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and compliance obligations.
  • Experience in budgeting, fiscal oversight, and vendor negotiations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capability to articulate intricate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative work approach.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology management software and tools.
  • Insight into clinical and biomedical equipment, along with trends in emerging technologies.
  • Preferred certifications in healthcare technology management (e.g., CBET, CHTM).
  • Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere.
  • Dedication to initiatives focused on patient safety and quality enhancement.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing learning and adaptability to the evolving healthcare technology terrain.
