Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Faithtalent Advisors.

Under the guidance of the Associate Director, Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the design and planning of projects to enhance, modify, or construct new facilities for SONOCO. This includes developing plans, specifications, cost estimates, and overseeing construction management and equipment installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop designs, specifications, and cost estimates for civil/structural projects across multiple facilities
• Provide project and onsite construction management
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of industrial facility construction practices and structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood
• Exhibit strong competencies in technical communication, presentations, customer interactions, teamwork, and leadership
  
  

This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, PE license, in-depth knowledge of heavy industrial facility construction practices, proficiency in structural analysis/design, project/construction management skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD.

Physical requirements include working in confined spaces, in a hot and humid environment, and the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
