What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Tech/Arcade game repair position at TimeWarp Cards and Comics?
Daily Tasks:
- Taking pride to ensure maintenance of our game room – games and the various equipment; including but not limited to game troubleshooting, ticket installation and overall preventative maintenance of all equipment
- Performs basic preventative maintenance on machines to ensure that all games are clean and functional
- Help install new games
- Complete weekly cleaning checklist.
- Maintains a neat and orderly workshop.
- Demonstrate a “safety” mindset by addressing any potential hazard appropriately and timely and always following safety protocols in the repair of games/equipment
- Exhibiting teamwork by consistently working alongside of fellow staff members
Musts:
- Some mechanical background preferred. Knowledge of computer repair or building is a plus
- Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of fractions and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Must speak English fluently and be able to write basic English
- Excellent math skills: ability to process technical requirements for game repair
- General Arcade Activities - Walking, Talking, Sitting, Standing, Typing, Lifting, Bending, Stooping and carrying up to 50lb
