Job Description
Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Timewell, IL
Reports To: Maintenance Department Manager
Job Summary:
The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for sustaining a preventive maintenance program that optimizes the longevity of the manufacturer's warranty on all process equipment. The Maintenance technician maintains and repairs plant facilities including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and plumbing repairs with a high standard of excellence. The Maintenance Technician must be safety and quality minded.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Technical school degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in plastics operations maintenance preferred
- Physical, mental, visual, and auditory ability to operate powered industrial equipment
- Conscientious attention to detail and quality
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to work full time schedule with overtime as needed
- Welding Experience or Fabrication is a preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with facilities and machinery.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings for effective maintenance planning.
- Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Document maintenance activities using CMMS and communicate with team members for efficient operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
