What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator, 2nd Shift position at Timilon Corporation?
The Production Operator will operate equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to produce materials for testing, inventory, and or sales and document on appropriate forms where needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to produce materials for testing, inventory, and or sales and prepares appropriate documents where needed.
- Works with internal Timilon staff members to meet or exceed the needs of our Customers. This may include running special production batches; assisting with developmental materials; preparing proprietary or custom blends of materials; preparing shipments; or delivery of products.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure that min/max levels are appropriately maintained. Communicates with the Director of Production to schedule routine replenishment “builds” as required.
- Ensures the plant facilities and equipment are kept clean, safe, and organized by conducting periodic walk-throughs and taking the appropriate action necessary. Follows established standard maintenance and calibration schedules and coordinates such with external and internal resources.
- Pick and pack orders as required for outgoing shipments. Compare the shipment to the packing list and bill of lading to ensure the quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Assists in receiving, checking in, and disbursement of materials, equipment, and supplies. Maintains proper receiving documentation and receipts. Verifies received goods received against purchase orders, bills of lading, or other records to ensure type, quantities, and part numbers are accurate. Visually inspects received goods for damage from handling and transit and report damage according to established SOPs. May be required to communicate with freight carriers to coordinate freight damage claims when necessary.
- Safely and efficiently, operates processes equipment. Observes equipment operation protocols, as well as process flows, and suggests improvements that will optimize production capabilities. Records and documents data and processing parameters in a clear, concise, and timely manner, and maintains manufacturing records.
- Configures and connects electronic and WIFI devices to a dashboard system and air purifiers to enable automated data collection and synchronization for our Customers.
- Assists with the maintenance and calibration of equipment, as required.
- Maintains knowledge of laws/regulations relevant to the position.
- Participates in professional development and/or networking conferences and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year’s related experience required.
- Knowledge and understanding of international shipping procedures a plus.
- Experience with industrial equipment and understanding of cGMP, a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, working with hazardous chemicals in extreme temperatures (hot & cold), and under dusty conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
