Timmons Group, a full-service engineering and technology firm, is seeking a skilled Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our Private Land Development Group. Located in Ellicott City, MD, we offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from design to completion. Your expertise in civil engineering, project management, and communication will enable you to effectively collaborate with clients, staff, and internal design teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and manage projects using relevant software, including Civil 3D technology
• Complete calculations and problem-solving using engineering formulas and computer skills
• Prepare specifications and materials through research and manufacturing catalogs
• Work on design details and plan sets
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and internal design teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience and professional registration (P.E.) in Maryland preferred
• Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering related to land development design
• Ideal candidates will have experience working on Howard County residential projects
• Familiarity with Maryland Stormwater requirements and local codes preferred
• Proven ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in client management, relationships, and contract acquisition in the Maryland region
• Working knowledge of CADD and/or Civil 3D software, as well as office support software required for the position
