Role Overview: As an Associate Attorney at Timoney Knox LLP, you will play an important role in providing comprehensive legal services to our clients. Your responsibilities will include drafting various documents, assisting with legal and non-legal research and handling a diverse range of legal matters across all of the Firm's practice areas. You will have the opportunity to work closely with, and be mentored by, the Firm's senior attorneys and Partners.
A significant portion of work performed will be for the Firm's Education practice, where you will learn about educational policy and legal matters, helping to advocate for students and their families. You will also play a substantial role in the Firm's Municipal/Zoning practice, where you will learn what it takes to advise local governments and municipalities on a range of legal issues, including compliance, regulatory matters and zoning ordinances.
Your strong matter management and communication skills will be vital as you interact with other team members and clients, contributing to the Firm's continued success.
Requirements:
- Active license in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania (admission to other State Bars is a plus)
- 2-3 years of experience as an Attorney in Pennsylvania
- Experience attending and speaking at Court and/or local government hearings
- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to handle in-depth research assignments, both legal and non-legal
- Ability to manage multiple assignments
- Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team
- Ability to reliably commute to Fort Washington, PA.
- Ability to reliably commute to Pennsylvania Courts and local municipality meetings/hearings as needed
