High School Photography & Art Teacher
Timothy Christian Schools – Elmhurst, IL

Position Type: Full-Time
Timothy Christian Schools is seeking a creative and passionate High School Photography & Art Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 school year. This position includes teaching high school photography and art classes, as well as middle school art classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both traditional and digital photography, with a preference for experience developing photos in a darkroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school photography, incorporating both digital and film techniques.
- Teach introductory and intermediate high school art classes.
- Teach one middle school art class (grade level to be determined).
- Maintain and manage art and photography supplies, including darkroom equipment.
- Create a positive, Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages student creativity and exploration.
- Collaborate with the Fine Arts Department and broader school community to enhance arts programming.
- Participate in school events, department meetings, and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Photography, or a related field required.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) is strongly preferred.
- Experience teaching photography and visual arts at the middle or high school level.
- Knowledge of traditional darkroom processes is preferred.
- Committed Christian who supports the mission of Timothy Christian Schools to develop life-long learners and followers of Christ.
Workload:
This is a full-time equivalent (FTE) position with benefits.
