The Business Development Representative (BDR) – ERGO Category plays a pivotal role in expanding TiMOTION’s presence in the height-adjustable office furniture market by identifying and engaging new business opportunities. This role focuses on outbound prospecting through cold calls, social media engagement, and other relevant outreach methods to identify and qualify potential customers.
Success in this role requires resilience, strategic outreach, and the ability to engage new prospects in introductory calls and preliminary commercial discussions. A data-driven mindset and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cold outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.) to generate new business opportunities and build a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
- Proactively identify and qualify potential customers, ensuring a steady pipeline of at least 10 high-quality, sales-ready leads per month for the Account Executive team.
- Research and identify potential markets, industries, and key decision-makers in the height-adjustable office furniture sector.
- Accurately document and track all prospect interactions and lead qualifications in the CRM system to support ongoing sales activities.
- Engage with industry professionals on social media platforms to build relationships and uncover new opportunities.
- Set up introductory calls and product presentations for Account Executives.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team to refine messaging and improve lead generation strategies.
- Manage and grow small-volume business opportunities, handling initial project development, quoting, and sampling. Drive these opportunities to scale, ensuring they meet the required threshold for transition to the Account Executive team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TiMOTION’s ERGO product line and industry trends.
- Participate in team meetings, reporting on weekly/monthly performance metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to engage and persuade.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume outreach.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a competitive environment.
- Proven ability to cold call, build rapport quickly, and convert initial outreach into sales conversations.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confidently handle objections, overcome gatekeepers, and adapt messaging to different audiences.
Education/Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is required.
· 1-2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or outbound lead generation preferred.
· Experience in furniture, manufacturing, or motion control industries is a plus.
