Are you passionate about creating safe and sustainable work environments? Do you have experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices in a manufacturing setting? Timpte is expanding and we're looking for a dynamic HSE Specialist to help shape the safety culture at our state-of-the-art manufacturing center in Lincoln, NE!
This role will provide support in the Health, Safety and Environmental Department to continually create a culture of safety within our Lincoln Manufacturing Center location by ensuring effective and efficient compliance with local, state and federal regulations and agencies, assisting with the facility safety process to protect employees, the company, the environment, and provide a safe and healthy workplace.
PAY for this position is $60-70k/year base salary (depending upon experience).
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and conduct HSE training with employees, in a manner that raises employees’ awareness and enables them to work safely.
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections and audits are completed as necessary to comply with local, state and federal regulations.
- Assist with the Incident Investigation Process including documentation and coordination of medical care.
- Participate and Support the Safety Committee at the Lincoln Location.
- Conduct observations for training support and new hire employees follow up.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 2-3 years of experience in Safety within a Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word, etc.
- Must be a self-started, motivated individual.
- Must have, or be able to achieve, a high level of understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental Regulations and HSE Management System.
- Must be able to prioritize projects and interact well with others.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Must have an insurable driving record and valid drivers’ license.
- OSHA 30 hour certification will be required by the end of year 1.
