Quality Technician

Timpte is growing and looking to add a Quality Technician to join our BRAND NEW Lincoln Manufacturing Center!

Hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm with possible overtime on Friday.

Pay for this role starts at $25-28/hr DOE and Monthly Bonus!

Responsibilities:

•    Develops, performs, and reports on critical process and product audits in conjunction with functional area leaders in an effort to reduce quality defects and improve process time.

•    Assists functional area leaders to help their departments develop metrics that are created, owned, monitored, controlled and understood by those in charge of their processes.

•    Approves in process production by confirming specifications, conducts visual and operational tests and rejects unacceptable products using a quarantine and/or containment process while also confirming any rework that is necessary.

•    Immediately and directly communicates with supervisors and area leaders on recurring quality defects.

•    Participates in root cause process analysis teams to eliminate reoccurring nonconformance.

•    Assist in development of built-in quality processes.

•    Work with Product and Manufacturing Engineering to develop critical inspection criteria on new products.

•    Continuously improves own knowledge of critical inspection points and collaborates with others in learning quality standards.

•    Performs additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position. 

Qualifications:

•    Must have 1-3 years’ experience in the quality/manufacturing fields.

•    Must have a high school diploma.

•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

•    Must have an understanding of a wide range of production processes, read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and trailer schedules. 

•    Must be data driven with good problem solving skills. 

•    Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic.

•    Must be strong willed and able to make all quality decisions. 

•    Must be able to work cooperatively with people and coordinate work efforts in a professional manner.
