What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Tin Roof?
Responsible for serving food and/or beverages to the guests while maintaining guest satisfaction. Keeping the dining area and bathrooms clean at all times of service and performing the following responsibilities:
Major Responsibilities:
- Takes orders, delivers food and beverage in a timely manner. Possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products served and utilizes suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintains positive guest satisfaction by answering questions, providing information on the menu and the establishment.
- Must have Point of Sale system knowledge. Must practice proper cash handling procedures by properly organizing money, counting change back to guests, and following appropriate checkout procedures
- Maintains clean work areas free of debris for guests and fellow team members. Including: floors, bathrooms, patios, tables and service stations.
- Notifies Manager of low inventory and communicates opportunities/concerns/situations.
- Assists the Kitchen staff by writing down all orders correctly and ringing them into the Point of Sale system correctly.
- Assists the dishwasher by scraping, racking and stacking glassware, plate ware and silverware properly and continuously re-stocking service areas.
- Act as the final check on the quality of food and beverage items before they are served to guests.
- Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding Tin Roofs products and happenings and has the ability to communicate properly to guests.
- Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigned.
- Delivers and or carries food and beverage items to guests with a sense ofurgency. Understands all table numbers and floor plans.
- Enforces responsible alcohol management
