What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Host/Hostess position at Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar?
The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar is immediately hiring experienced Host/Hostess. Must be able to handle high volume and a fast pace. We have built a new building on the Bon Secour River and want you to grow with us! We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner plus Brunch on Sundays. Weekends required.
Host/Hostess
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
- Provide menus
- Manage the waiting list
- Ensure the dining area is clean and organized
- Assist with setting up tables and maintaining table settings
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
Skills:
- Experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in seating assignments
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
