Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to assist in managing sales execution, key customer relationships, and prospecting new business in the Central USA. This role will work closely with the Key Accounts Director and VP of Sales to support broker management, customer communications, and sales operations in this underdeveloped region.
This position is designed as a growth opportunity for a driven individual to develop into a Regional Sales Manager over time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high proficiency in executing sales strategies, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring seamless operations between internal teams, brokers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Support, Prospecting, & Execution:
- Assist the Key Accounts Director and VP of Sales in managing and prospecting customer accounts in the Central USA.
- Support sales presentations, category reviews, and promotional planning efforts.
- Help track and report on 90-day sales objectives and key business performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate sales and pricing documentation for key accounts.
- Trade & Broker Coordination:
- Work with brokers to ensure proper execution of sales and promotional programs.
- Assist in tracking trade spending programs to ensure efficiency and compliance with budgets.
- Monitor and report on pricing audits and competitor activity in key markets.
- Customer Service & Operations:
- Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure accurate order processing and timely deliveries.
- Assist with new product launches, pricing updates, and promotional execution.
- Ensure that online product images and descriptions are current across all customer platforms.
- Market Insights & Administrative Support:
- Help gather and analyze Nielsen and other syndicated data to support sales presentations and market strategies.
- Assist in monitoring industry trends and identifying opportunities for growth in the Central USA market.
- Provide administrative support for sales initiatives, including maintaining sales reports, scheduling and coordinating customer follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data (Nielsen, IRI experience is a plus) to support sales strategies and sales growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM tools.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
