Job Title: Regional Sales Development Manager
Duties and Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Development Manager to generate profitable sales growth for the company in our Markets per annual business plan targets. The person will oversee the sales execution on the Tina’s and Las Campanas brands in markets. The existing region represents millions in annual sales and is a top growth area for the company. This position will help lead the development and management of tools for presenting new products to customers, interface with their new product setup, and ensure that our EDI and shipping systems are properly communicating with their customers. The successful candidate will utilize syndicated data to create compelling selling arguments for the Tina’s brand and reduce the friction to allow buyers to buy our products. They will have direct sales responsibility for retail grocery, deli, convenience, and food services in the Western Region of the United States.
Essential Job Duties
- Candidate will oversee a broker network as well as call on customers directly.
- The candidate will participate in all category review meetings with all customers in the West Region along with direct responsibility for major grocery retailers.
- Planning: Develop market sales and spending budgets based on corporate objectives.
- Create ongoing 90-day objectives and report against critical business metrics monthly.
- Trade Spending Optimization: Develop, maintain, and manage trade spending programs with your brokers and customers that adhere to approved spending levels while effectively helping to grow the business.
- Broker Management: Conduct monthly meetings with brokers to review sales results versus set targets, customer promotional planners, and Nielsen category and brand trends.
- Create analytically driven compelling sales presentations using primary and syndicated research to target new business opportunities in the freezer and the perimeter, with particular focus in the Deli area.
- Must be able to leverage Nielsen to achieve targeted sales and promotional activity.
- Conduct monthly retail pricing audits in all markets.
- Communicate competitive activity and create action plans.
- Work closely with the customer service team to ensure customer POs are processed correctly and appointed to deliver on time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve setup issues related to product launches, pricing, promotions, and new item setups with our customer partners.
- Ensure that Tina’s and Las Campanas online product images are current at all customers.
- Create meaningful product pricing and distribution strategies to help grow the Tinas brand.
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform sales strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, finance marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in developing and managing sales tools and automation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret syndicated data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
