As a Member Service Officer (MSO), you will be responsible for the following:
This is a non-exempt position. The starting hourly rate is $21.36 per hour; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.
Schedule:
8:30 AM - 5:15 PM Monday-Friday & 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM rotating Saturdays
Education/Experience:
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years applicable work experience in a closely related position is required. Financial institution experience is preferred.
Applicable education levels may be eligible to satisfy experience requirements.

- Assisting members with opening new accounts, taking loan applications and performing financial and non-financial transactions
- Serving members with various services provided at each branch, including but not limited to assisting with providing access to safe deposit boxes
- Assisting with training other team members on a variety of topics needed to perform their duties

- Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU’s chosen authority
- TFCU University certification required and completed
- SAFE Act registration required
- Complete and pass regulations training
In order to be successful as a Member Service Officer (MSO), you must possess these qualifications:
- Great interaction, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of TFCU history, code of ethics, products, and services.
- Knowledge of lending policies and procedures as well as privacy procedures, confidentiality guidelines and cash handling standards
- Knowledge of Reg. CC, Reg. DD, Reg. J, Reg. D, Reg. E, Reg. B and Reg. Z as well as knowledge of Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules for Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) share insurance rules
- A passion for assisting customers and a sense of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of basic, fundamental office equipment.
