NOW HIRING: Day Camp Counselor (Seasonal)
JOB SUMMARY: The Camp Counselor is responsible for organizing, implementing, and supervising a comprehensive program for day camp participants of various ages. Counselors must work without direct supervision to assemble and administer age appropriate events for day camp participants.
LOCATION: Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st Street, Tinley Park, Illinois
QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified individual will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, with a minimum of two years of high school completed. Must enjoy working with children of various ages that range from 3-16 years old. Ability to work both independently and with a team while prioritizing tasks, staying organized, and implementing a variety of age appropriate events for day camp participants. Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification required.
INCENTIVES: This is a part-time, seasonal position which typically runs for 8 weeks Monday through Friday. Required hours are 8:30am - 3:15pm with extended hour availability for before and after camp programs. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour and qualifies for a complementary membership to the Water Park, Recreation Center, and Fitness Center. Referral program eligible.
