NOW HIRING: Park Security Officer (part-time)
JOB SUMMARY: The Park Security Officer is a responsible, knowledgeable, rules-driven person who will enforce regulations and ordinances pertaining to public use of Park District grounds and facilities by conducting routine patrol of designated areas. Additionally, this person will educate the public as to the proper use of district resources and assist with visitor information and interdepartmental service requests.
LOCATION: Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st St, Tinley Park
QUALIFICATIONS: This detail-oriented person must be able to make safe decisions under normal and highly stressful situations, effectively work with efficiency and little to no direct supervision, possess a clean driving record and a valid Illinois driver’s license, and have current CPR certification or ability to gain CPR certification.
INCENTIVES: This is a year-round, part-time position with 10-15 hours per week requiring evening availability from 5:30pm-11:30pm, one weekend shift per month between 9:30am-11:30pm, and availability on July 4th from 10am-11pm. Pay rate begins at $16.50 per hour and qualifies for a complementary membership to the Fitness Center, Recreation Center, Water Park and Dog Park.
