We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to help support or primary care clinic in Van Buren.
Duties include:
- Greeting patients and answering telephone calls
- Update and verify patient information
- Scheduling new and reoccurring patients for appointments
- Obtaining proper patient information including updating information, obtaining and verifying insurance and billing information.
- Collect any co-pays and account balances
- Prepare daily deposits
- Complete all tasks using best judgment and confidentially
- Assist with patients inquiries and concerns.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Maintaining patient flow
- Assisting staff with insurance requirements
Experience and Education:
- Medical office experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to our patients.
- Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential.
- Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use Office Machines such as calculator, multi-line telephone system, Copier, Fax, Scanner, and other office related equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6-month office experience required.
- Experience with Cash Collections preferred.
- Must possess typing and other clerical skills
- Must have criminal background clearance
