Job Purpose: Tiny Boxwoods Productions Stewards care deeply about our culture and will provide a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction. Prepare food to the specifications and standards set by the Executive Chef. A Steward is expected to prepare food and set up stations in a fast, quick-paced and hot environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The primary job duties and responsibilities of being of a Steward include but are not limited to the following:
- Must be passionate about food
- Must learn and be knowledgeable of the food menus
- Organize timing of food preparation for service
- Safely handles and holds food at correct temperatures
- Prepares correct amount of food based on the amounts provided by the Executive Chef
- Restock line with prepped items
- Assist Chefs in creating standardized recipes for all prepped items
- Basic knife skills
- Helps maintain recipe books
- Assists in putting away orders and daily organization of the kitchen
- Must adhere to sanitation, safety and food regulations
- Performs up to company standards and expectations
- Clear communication and teamwork
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly
- Must monitor quality control and guest satisfaction
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance, meeting the Pressed and Tailored standard
- Gathering & washing dishes throughout the shift
- Taking out trash inside and outside
- Cleaning ovens, coils as needed
- Outside grounds keeping
- Power washing sidewalk and surrounding exterior
- Various cleaning tasks and side work
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications to successfully perform the position of a Steward.
- Texas Food Handlers certificate
- Sanitation Certification

Working Conditions: The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting, on the floor with guests, in the kitchen and dish area. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
Physical Requirements: The incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods of time. Incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be able to constantly move around in the kitchen. Must be able to chop quickly and consistently.
