Job Overview
Tiny Explorers Center has four locations on the northwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana, offering high-quality care and education for children from birth to Pre K. We also offer additional programs such as after school pick up and summer camp. Each center focuses on specific age groups, creating a tailored environment that fosters development and growth.
We are seeking a highly skilled, forward-thinking leader to join our team as a Site Director. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with proven experience in managing childcare centers and a strong passion for employee development and engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker who can inspire staff, maintain compliance, and ensure the success of the center’s programs and operations.
Daily Center Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all classrooms are fully staffed and running smoothly.
- Manage schedules, including staff shifts, PTO requests, and handling call-ins.
- Ensure accurate tracking of CCDF attendance and center records.
- Compliance and Licensing:
- Ensure the center complies with all state licensing regulations and Paths to QUALITY (PTQ) standards.
- Monitor staff certifications, handprints, and other mandatory requirements to remain in compliance.
Management Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, and train staff to maintain high-quality education and care standards.
- Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews, providing feedback and development plans for all team members.
- Host monthly classroom observations and regular staff check-ins to address concerns and foster growth.
Professional Development:
- Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
- Identify training needs for educators not enrolled in school (minimum of 20 hours/year).
- Encourage continuous learning and mentor staff to meet their career goals.
Employee Engagement:
- Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture that aligns with Tiny Explorers’ mission.
- Plan and execute staff outings, appreciation days, and team-building activities.
- Support staff in problem-solving classroom challenges and addressing concerns.
Enrollment and Family Engagement:
- Manage enrollment efforts by conducting tours and building relationships with prospective families.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Plan and execute family-centered events to strengthen community ties.
Program Oversight:
- Collaborate with educators to implement and enhance the center’s curriculum.
- Monitor program quality to ensure it meets developmental and educational standards.
- Ensure a nurturing and engaging environment for all children, tailored to their developmental needs.
Requirements
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; higher education teaching experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in education administration or managing educational programs.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with staff, parents, and children.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
