What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre School Teacher position at Tiny Green Trees?
Tiny Green Trees Nature Based Childcare Center & Forest School in Milwaukee, WI is looking to hire one Full Time pre school teacher (ages 0-5 years old) to join our 30 person strong team. We are centrally located in Milwaukee on 921 N 49th St. next to Doyne Park. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, enthusiastic, nature loving & passionate human.

Essential Job Functions:
- Assist Lead Teachers in daily rhythms and care of children
- Learn and implement nature-based curriculum that supports the development of the child
- Supervise children and keep accurate record of children in attendance while in the center and off site in the “beyond space”
- Constantly work outside in most weather conditions, 4-7 hours per day
- Prepare organic meals and snacks in the center
- Communicate with children, parents, and other staff members
- Traverse a variety of landscape
- Position self in order to properly care for children
- Move and transport children weighing up to 50 pounds
- Complete 20 hours of continuing education per year
- Attend monthly staff meetings (usually held on the 2nd Saturday of the month)
- Strong social skills, able to professionally work in a team
- Maintain excellent attendance and dependability per our attendance policy
- If availability allows, be able to work up to 10.5 hours a day
- Detect temperatures and flavors of served food
Non Essential Job Functions:
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing classrooms, kitchen, and storage areas
- Complete closing and/or opening procedures
- Understanding and ability to learn how to use BrightWheel and Homebase applications
- Ability to learn about and help take care of the center’s garden and other spaces
Qualifications
- Candidates must be Lead Teacher Qualified to apply
- Candidates must be able to pass a background check
- High Education degree, credentials, or certificates
