Seasonal Summer Camp Counselor

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, fostering personal growth, and ensuring the well-being of campers throughout their time at camp.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with campers in various activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor adventures.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal development.
• Provide guidance and support to campers in their daily activities while encouraging positive behavior and conflict resolution.
• Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to camp policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childhood development, behavior management, and first aid.

Requirements

• Experience or knowledge in childhood development, special education, or childcare is preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively with students or children in a group setting.
• CPR/FA certification
• Strong behavior management skills to foster a positive camp atmosphere.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
• A passion for working with children and helping them grow through engaging activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
