Job Overview
As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, nurturing and stimulating environment.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in helping with homework, snack and lesson plans
- Provide care and supervision to children in various settings such as afterschool, in house activities and outside field trips.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging interactions
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and parents to ensure each child's individual needs are met
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance
Qualifications
-Mandated 45 hours
-At least 23 years old to drive 15 passenger van
-Able to take and pass required courses within the first 30 days of employment.
-Speak and write in English
-Previous experience in caregiving, daycare, or early childhood education is preferred
- Knowledge of aftercare education practices
- Ability to work effectively with young children and support their learning needs
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for educating and nurturing young minds
- Ability to assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
