Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The candidate must be available 8:00-3:30 Monday-Thursday and occasional Friday 8:00-12:00. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for engaging in activities, ensuring the safety of all children, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during daily activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children.
- Skills in behavior management and classroom management are highly valued.
- Background in toddler care, infant care, or babysitting will be beneficial.
- Certification in First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
