What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Math Tutor position at Tiny to Tall Tutoring & Test Prep?
We are looking to hire tutors for a range of grades and subjects. We provide in person sessions on Staten Island. Sessions are most commonly provided in the family's house but are occasionally provided at a local library or virtually.
Requirements:
- Degree or in pursuit of degree in Education or the subject that you are applying for
- Experience tutoring the age/grade level you are applying for
- Able to create an education plan that is individualized for each student
- Passionate about making a difference
- Compassionate and patient in your approach to teaching
- Must have transportation
Responsibilities:
- Develop personalized lesson plans
- Provide one-on-one academic support
- Track and assess student progress
- Communicate with parents on student needs
- Help students develop study and time management skills
