Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
- Provide attentive care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Educate children on basic life skills, social interactions, and problem-solving techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere focused on the well-being of all children.
- Assist in managing daily activities such as meals, nap times, and playtime.
Experience
- Previous experience in child care settings such as daycare centers or preschools is preferred.
- Knowledge of Step Up To Quality (Gold/Star 5) is essential.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- First Aid and CPR is required to be obtained within 90 days if not currently held.
- A passion for educating young children and supporting their growth is crucial.
- Child Development Associates (CDA) or college degree in a related field is preferred.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.50 per hour
