Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will engage with children through play-based learning, fostering curiosity and a love for learning.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Educate children on various subjects, including basic literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Supervise daily activities and ensure the safety of all children in the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and behavior.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Provide care for infants as needed, ensuring their well-being during daycare hours.
- Apply first aid when necessary and maintain a clean and organized classroom.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare or preschool education is preferred; daycare or nannying experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
- A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
