Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Support Teacher to join our vibrant educational team! Tip Tap Grow is an innovative performing arts school dedicated to nurturing the artistic, cultural, and intellectual growth of children. Our mission is to provide high quality childcare in a nurturing, safe, trauma-informed environment centered around performing arts and play-based learning. We are open Monday - Friday, 7:30am-6pm offering full and part time schedules for families.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher to implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Provide individualized attention to children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and development.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred, including roles such as nannying or working in daycare settings.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and best practices in infant/toddler care.
- Experience managing a classroom setting effectively while engaging children in meaningful activities.
- Skills in behavior management to support children’s diverse needs and promote positive interactions among peers.
- A strong understanding of working with children with disabilities is a plus.
Qualified candidates must be willing to:
- Demonstrate dedication to the practice of the Tip Tap Grow’s educational philosophy
- Complete Tip Tap Grow’s teacher training within 90 days of being hired
- Commit to leading a culture of lifelong learning by personal example
- Demonstrate a collaborative style of being a team player
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills and leadership qualities
- Participate in all performing arts classes to assist master teachers and redirect children as needed
- Attend all scheduled performances

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.93 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
