Job Summary TIPCO Technologies is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of eCommerce to lead the expansion and optimization of our unified eCommerce platform across all operating companies. This role drives digital adoption among internal teams, customers, and prospects, ensuring seamless integration of our TIPCO eStore with overall business operations. The Director of eCommerce will collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT to enhance digital capabilities, optimize customer experience, and support our growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities eCommerce Strategy & Adoption :
Develop and execute strategies to drive eCommerce engagement and adoption among internal teams, customers, and prospects.
Partner with Sales and Customer Service to onboard, train, and support users in maximizing eCommerce tools.
Identify and remove barriers to adoption while enhancing self-service capabilities and online conversion rates.
Business Integration & Technology Management :
Align eCommerce initiatives with broader business goals to deliver a seamless omnichannel experience.
Oversee system integrations, including TIPCO eStore with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP and PunchOut catalogs connecting with platforms like Ariba, Coupa, and Jaggaer.
Manage relationships with third-party providers (eCommerce platforms, payment processors, digital service vendors) to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Product Data Management :
Lead efforts to enrich and govern product data within the Product Information Management (PIM) system
Collaborate with suppliers and channel partners to maintain high-quality, consistent product information that enhances discoverability and user experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Enablement :
Work with Marketing to align the eStore with branding and promotional strategies.
Coordinate with IT to bolster platform security, performance, and integration capabilities.
Develop digital sales enablement tools and strategies to support Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams.
Analytics & Performance Optimization :
Utilize data-driven insights to monitor eCommerce performance metrics, including sales growth, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
Continuously analyze user behavior and market trends to implement improvements that enhance the online shopping experience and drive revenue growth.
Scope :
Oversee eCommerce operations across 35 nationwide locations and support 400 employees across Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.
Manage a multi-million-dollar revenue stream while directing third-party platform providers and integration efforts.
Lead a growing team focused on digital operations, product data management, and platform administration, currently with one direct report and planned expansion.
Required Skills & Experience :
Proven leadership in B2B eCommerce strategy and adoption, ideally within industrial distribution or a related field.
Demonstrated eCommerce commercial / revenue growth
Strong expertise in ERP, PIM, and eCommerce platform integrations (experience with Epicor Prophet 21 and Unilog preferred).
In-depth knowledge of PunchOut catalog integrations and connectivity with B2B procurement platforms preferred (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer).
Experience managing third-party technology providers (eCommerce platforms, payment solutions, etc.).
Solid technical acumen with a track record in troubleshooting integrations and ensuring system scalability.
Data-driven analytical skills focused on optimizing digital performance metrics.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Ten years of eCommerce experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Position can be located nationwide, position does include travel.
This is a remote position.
