As Tipmont’s Senior Accounting Business Partner, you will lead the development and management of managerial accounting systems for a cooperative that delivers reliable electricity and fiber-optic internet to thousands of people across north central Indiana. You’ll analyze key financial data and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and drive growth. Your work will be instrumental toward optimizing operational efficiency, managing financial policies and ensuring profitability. Using strong financial acumen, business management expertise and a keen eye for identifying cost-saving opportunities, you will play an integral role in shaping successful short- and long-term financial strategies.
Duties that intrigue you include:
- Developing and maintaining an activity-based costing (ABC) system
- Coordinating detail and accuracy to manage cost, identify risk and make strategic decisions
- Collaborating to evaluate departmental accounting / finance metrics, reports and budgets
- Creating sustainable systems to ensure optimal outcomes for ongoing business operations
- Communicating financial findings / solutions to help ensure ongoing financial success
- Generating key metric dashboards to accurately reflect the organization’s financial health
- Providing strategic financial guidance to support business planning and decision-making
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for cost reduction
- Leading financial analyses, including variance analyses and performance metrics
- Supporting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and / or finance
- CPA required
- Five to seven years of experience in managerial accounting, financial reporting and analysis
- Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong critical thinking and business acumen
