Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services has an opening for a dedicated Hospitality Coordinator.
The Hospitality Coordinator will have a checklist of duties that need to be performed for every service Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services provides, ensuring that all needs of our families are met.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Funeral Director and Sales staff to customize each funeral, cremation, or memorial service
- Scheduling and set up of the Living Room for visitations and after funeral gatherings, making sure all items requested by the Funeral Director for the family are ordered and in place
- Coordinate all details of each gathering, such as food, invitations, hotels, and transportation.
- Attend the event and monitor activities to ensure the families and attendees are satisfied, and act as a runner if something is needed during the event.
- Work with flower shops.
- Run errands (including but not limited to picking up death certificates, flags, or miscellaneous).
- Work with clergy.
- Help with visitations, funerals, and at graveside.
- Occasionally work with Medicaid or Trustee to assist families.
- Print out visitation brochures, thank you cards, sign-in books, and artwork for candles.
- Work with the local paper to place obituaries.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong organizational and office skills
- Comfortable working with computers and various computer programs to print out items that are already designed by the company
- Event management experience is helpful
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets
- Creative personality
