What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager/Dance Teacher position at Tippi Toes Dance Company?
We are looking for Assistant Managers/Dance Teachers to start training in July/August to start teaching classes in the Fall 2024!
- Tippi Toes Assistant Managers will help manage office tasks, plan and organize for classes, events and recitals. They will assist with class lesson plans and choreography. They will work with the owner to oversee and manage schedules, parent communication and school relationships. Must be efficient and a self starter!
- Tippi Toes Dance Instructors teach children dance in a high-energy, encouraging, and loving way. Teachers will follow lesson plans, playlists, and curriculum provided by Tippi Toes Amarillo for the various classes offered.
- Must have a love of children and be highly confident in teaching young students. Responsibilities include traveling to dance locations, preparing for classes, teaching curriculum, developing positive rapport with all students and well as school staff.
- This role will also be responsible for working with School Directors and Owner to regularly add new students to current and future classes maximizing attendance levels. Must be highly professional in all interactions and demonstrate excellent communication skills with both school staff and Tippi Toes Amarillo.
- Training, materials and choreography will all be provided by Tippi Toes Amarillo!
- Drivers license and background check are required.
- Performance experience is a plus (dance, cheer, theater, etc.), but not required
- Early childhood education experience is a plus, but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
