What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Dance Teacher position at Tippi Toes Dance Company?
Tippi Toes Dance Company is not a typical brick & mortar dance studio; we bring dance into schools and rec centers. This service meets our dancers where they are and gives families more time together because they aren’t driving all over town to get to class. Students love to go to dance class with their school friends and feel comfortable in the familiar space. We do also have a studio location in Old Katy. Tippi Toes has been sharing joy with children since 1999. Our vision is to instill confidence, positivity, and joy into the lives of children. It is not easy, but we work hard to make a difference!
Tippi Toes Katy/Cypress is looking for versatile and flexible instructors who are open to a dance curriculum that already has set choreography provided. There is no choreography creation involved in this position.
Tippi Toes Dance Instructors always have wonderful, professional communication skills, time management skills as well as a good sense of personal and professional boundaries. We do love when someone has experience working with youth!

Responsibilities For Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes Katy:
- Reviews assigned curriculum and practices lesson plans prior to class - PLEASE NOTE: no choreography creation involved in this position
- Daily/weekly communication with Franchise owner/manager regarding all pertinent student information
- Comes to each class in proper dress code, and allows appropriate time for set up
- Teaches each class with enthusiasm and positivity that encourages student participation, interaction, and fun
- Works with the School Director to regularly add new students to current and future classes, maximizing attendance levels.
Qualifications To Be a Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes Katy:
- Performance background is required: dance, theater, cheer, character work
- Experience working with children under the age of 5 (required)
- Must have a current driver’s license and access to a car
- Must be willing to go through a background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
