Dance Teacher, Choreographer, Movement Instructor, Dance Teaching Artists are just a few different ways to categorize what we at Tippi Toes West Chester call a Dance Instructor!
Tippi Toes Dance Company is not a typical brick & mortar dance studio; we bring dance into schools. Our vision is to instill confidence, positivity, and joy into the lives of children. It is not easy, but we work hard to make a difference!
Tippi Toes West Chester is looking for versatile and flexible teaching artists who are open to a dance curriculum that already has set choreography provided. There is no choreography creation involved in this position.
Tippi Toes Dance Instructors always have wonderful, professional communication skills as well as a good sense of personal and professional boundaries. A successful Tippi Toes West Chester Dance Instructor is culturally sensitive when working with diverse populations. We do love when someone(s) has experience working with youth!
Compensation:
Teaching level and starting hourly rate is dependent on experience and number of classes taught each week

Responsibilities For a Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes:
- Reviews assigned curriculum and practices lesson plans prior to class - PLEASE NOTE: no choreography creation involved in this position
- Daily/weekly communication with Franchise Manager regarding all pertinent student information
- Works with the School Director to regularly add new students to current and future classes, maximizing attendance levels.
Qualifications To Be a Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes:
- Performance background is required
- Performance background includes; dance, theater, cheer, character work
- Performance background does NOT include adult dancing
- Must have a current driver’s license and access to a car
- Must be willing to go through a background check
- Must be physically able to dance, jump, and carry up to 20lb.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
