Children's Preschool Dance Instructor

Tippi Toes Dance Tulsa is currently hiring for our 2025 dance season. Instructors will be hired based on availability to stay with our company through our summer dance season beginning in June 2025 and running through August 2025.

Tippi Toes Dance Company is not just a typical brick & mortar dance studio; we bring dance into schools. This service meets our dancers where they are and gives families more time together because they aren’t driving all over town to get to class. Students love to go to dance class with their school friends and feel comfortable in the familiar space.

In addition to our school/onsite locations, Tippi Toes Tulsa is thrilled to own a studio in KingsPointe Village! This allows us to offer a variety of morning, afternoon, evening and Saturday classes for our busy families. We also host birthday parties, summer dance camps and other fun events in this space.

Tippi Toes has been sharing joy with children since 1999. What started out as a dream of founder Sarah Nuse, turned into a reality. What started out as one small location in Norman, OK, has turned into 40 locations across the country. Our vision is to instill confidence, positivity, and joy into the lives of children. It is not easy, but we work hard to make a difference!

Laura Teal, Tippi Toes Tulsa Owner, has a background in dance and Pom. Dance was always a happy, stress-free place for her to feel confident. After college Laura stopped taking dance classes and started her career journey as an educator. In 2012 Laura was ready to begin a new journey as a business owner. She heard about Tippi Toes through her college friend, Sarah Nuse, and knew it was exactly what busy St. Louis families needed for their young children. Laura opened her first Tippi Toes franchise in St. Louis, MO, then followed with a franchise in Northwest Arkansas and now enjoys owning the Tippi Toes Tulsa franchise in her own hometown of Tulsa where she is raising her three children. Laura believes in the value of dance for children, and as a mom she knows how important it is to have a less chaotic homelife whenever possible. She is thrilled to be serving over 400 families in the Tulsa area and looks forward to continued growth and making a positive impact on our community.

Tippi Toes Tulsa is looking for versatile and flexible teaching artists who are open to a dance curriculum that already has set choreography provided. There is no choreography creation involved in this position.

Tippi Toes Dance Instructors always have wonderful, professional communication skills as well as a good sense of personal and professional boundaries. A successful Tippi Toes Tulsa Dance Instructor is culturally sensitive when working with diverse populations. We do love when someone has experience working with youth!

Location & Schedule for Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes Tulsa

Tulsa, Jenks, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Bixby & Glenpool

We need preschool dance instructors who are available between the hours of 2-5 pm. We have other class times available if an instructor is able to help us fill our after school programs first.

Compensation:

Begins at 17 per hour

Starting hourly rate is dependent on experience and number of classes taught each week

Responsibilities For a Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes Tulsa:

• Reviews assigned curriculum and practices lesson plans prior to class - PLEASE NOTE: no choreography creation involved in this position
• Daily/weekly communication with Franchise owner regarding all pertinent student information
• Comes to each class in proper dress code, and allows appropriate time for set up
• Teaches each class with enthusiasm and positivity that encourages student
• Participation, interaction, and fun
• Works with the School Director to regularly add new students to current and future classes, maximizing attendance levels.

Qualifications To Be a Dance Instructors at Tippi Toes Tulsa:

• Performance background is required
• Performance background includes: dance, theater, cheer, character work
• Performance background does NOT include adult dancing
• Must have a current driver’s license and access to a car
• Must be willing to go through a background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 10 per week
